Long term traders keep their currencies for weeks, months or years.  Just like the short and medium term traders, long term traders need to use leveraging as well.  They too, need to continue making a profit and keep their forex investments safe.

You should only try one plan.  Trying to do all three can get your confuse and you can lose more money than you anticipated.  In order to get into the forex market, you should include a technical analysis in your plan of forex investments.  A technical analysis allows you to keep track of indicators as well as the price in the markets.

With forex investment plans, you should also have a take profit order and stop/loss order.  The latter can remove you from the trade before it gets messy.  The order is made at a certain point and when the currency dips below that, the order is stopped on autopilot.

With the take profit order, it is similar to the stop/loss order.  The order is stopped before it gets to the point where you can get the profits.  What you can do is set up demo accounts to save you from a lot of stress and from losing a lot of money.  You will be able to go through the steps with your forex investments and conduct them the right way.
